Danone: the group launches a fund with 100 million euros to stimulate the economic and social development of its “ecosystem”

Global policy to spread the group’s values to all its undertakings. Danone relies on a wide and structured range of initiatives, programs and projects at French level aimed at materializing this value historically defended by the group of balance between economy and social. At global level, Danone was a pioneer not only in its sector but in all the sectors for concluding agreements with the UITA (International Union of Food Workers), with which it signed nine agreements in fifteen years. This value is also promoted within the managerial system. Indeed, “for two years, the variable remuneration of 1,400 managers, directors general and board members has been divided in three: 1/3 economic, 1/3 social and societal, and 1/3 managerial” explained Mrs. Penicaud. For the second third, “are taken into consideration CO2 reduction, safety at work or even investment into training and human development” she said.
