BNP-Paribas: amendment to the EWC agreement

The management of the French bank BNP-Paribas (169.000 employees throughout the world, 130.000 of them in Europe) and the members of its European Works Council bargained for an amendment to the agreement establishing the council. It must now be assigned by the representative French trade unions. The text takes into account the entrance of the BNL Italian bank, with its approximately 20.000 employees into the perimeter of the group, and improves the council's mechanism. (Ref. 080660)
