GDF Suez: European agreement on fundamental health and safety principles

Ad hoc negotiating body. This agreement was negotiated between the management and a special negotiating body composed of 31 representatives from 13 European countries, appointed by the trade union organizations present in the group, like for the GPEC agreement (see our dispatch No. 100168). Here too, only the Italian representative refused to sign the agreement. The EPSU signed but the European Mine, Chemical and Energy Workers’ Federation (EMCEF), also invited to the negotiations, still hasn’t confirmed its signature.
