Norsk Hydro: new global framework agreement

The Norwegian energy group, which also operates in aluminum, Norsk Hydro, recently signed a framework agreement “for the development of good working relations” in the company.  The Norwegian State owns a majority of the company, present in 40 countries.  It employs about 23,000 people in Europe, North America, Australia and Qatar.  The agreement signed on March 15th aims to facilitate the exchange of information between unions and management on working conditions at Norsk Hydro, “to continuously improve and develop good work practices in Hydro’s worldwide operations.”
