Suez-Gaz de France: update of the information-consultation process for the merger

Suez's management declared, on January 8, that the unfavourable judgement rendered by its European dialogue body "end the procedure of consultation of staff representation bodies" and enables to continue the merger plan with GDF. At Gaz de France, during a meeting on January 8 and 9, the EWC refused to give a judgment and asked for another evaluation. On January 16, the French Supreme Court will render a ruling concerning the GDF case, in which it could decide that the EWC must totally be informed and consulted before the board of directors can meet.
