Portugal: Volkswagen’s AutoEuropa facility sets new working hours

Management at Volkswagen’s AutoEuropa automotive assembly plant, located in the city of Palmela, near Lisbon, Portugal, has announced that it intends to implement new working hours at the end of January 2018. The announcement comes after workers at the plant rejected a pre-agreement that was signed on 22 November 2017 on working conditions for production of a new vehicle model (c.f. article No. 10464). Management at AutoEuropa met with the unions to inform them of the decision.
