GDF Suez: European agreement on job and skills planning

F Suez, the special negotiating body and the European Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU) signed, on February 23, a European agreement on job and skills planning. This agreement, drawing a lot from the European agreement signed in 2007 on the same subject, “defines the principles for the implementation of an Employment and Expertise Plan (GPEC) within GDF SUEZ European companies.” (Ref. 100168)

Ad hoc special negotiating body. This agreement was negotiated between the management and a special negotiating body composed of 31 representatives from 13 European countries appointed by the trade union organizations present in the group. During negotiations for the new structure’s EWC after the merger between GDF and Suez, the employees negotiators and the management agreed that the composition of the SNB to negotiate this European Council could serve for the negotiation of future agreements.…
