In the offices of the Ministry of Economy and Finance building in Bercy, Paris and overseen by Olivia Grégoire, Secretary of State for the Social, Solidarity and Responsible Economy, on 10 March, and in an initiative led by L’Oréal Group and the think tank Club Landoy (which is dedicated to the demographic revolution), 32 companies signed a document that makes ten commitments to senior staff concerning recruitment, training, job retention, support for career development, well-being at work, retirement, and awareness of age-related stereotypes. With this charter, the signatories undertake to develop new actions and/or to improve existing measures in order to meet the objectives set in the document. The signatories will also share their best practices, in a co-construction approach, and will meet annually to review the progress of their actions. “This inter-company mobilization and the signing of this document of commitment is a new step in building the company of tomorrow; one that is more inclusive, inspiring and innovative, where everyone can have their place, regardless of age and experience,” stated Jean-Claude Le Grand, L’Oréal’s Director of Human Relations, at the signing event.
