On 22 September, Lidl announced its second pay rise of the year. From October, more than 23,000 employees of the supermarket group will receive £10.90 per hour (€12.50), compared to £10.10 (€11.58) previously. This change will make Lidl the “best paying” supermarket in the country, but how long will it hold onto this title? In recent weeks, many supermarkets have also decided to raise wages again to counter the impact of inflation.…
