United Kingdom: Parker Review aims to increase diversity in senior management roles

The Parker Review is looking to build on the positive results achieved in the area of ethnic diversity and now wants all companies in the FTSE 350 index, which combines the FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 indices, to set their own target for the percentage of individuals from ethnic minorities in senior management positions. This new target should be met by the end of December 2027.

Published on 13 March, the latest Parker Review update reveals that 96 of the 100 companies in the FTSE 100 index had at least one person from an ethnic minority on their board of directors in December 2022. This finding marks an improvement on the previous year, when only 89 companies had met this target by the same date.…
