Vodafone launches initiative to support jobseekers during the pandemic

UK telecommunications giant Vodafone announced on 8 April that it has extended its plan supporting those who are unemployed, which was first launched in the UK at the end of 2020. The initiative, devised to help people stay connected, now offers cut-price mobile plans, free data and even online training courses to job seekers living in Europe, Turkey Egypt and South Africa. The scheme is in line with Vodafone’s new brand positioning – dubbed ‘Together we can’ – which promotes the idea that new technology and society can join forces to create a better world.
