Great Britain: Yorkshire Building Society introduces a more inclusive uniform for its employees

The UK’s third largest mutual financial institution, Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) has revealed that it has adopted a uniform that allows employees to mix and match their clothing choices (ranging from trousers to dresses) according to their own preferences and gender identities. The YBS previously never had specially designed uniforms, opting instead to buy ‘off-the-shelf’. However when the group decided to have a specifically designed uniform the idea of providing a more inclusive ‘look’ began to take shape during the brainstorming process that commenced well prior to Virgin Atlantic’s gender neutral uniform launch.…
