EU: European Parliament proposing a stronger version of the due diligence directive

On 25 April the European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) adopted a text, which mind RH has obtained, that strengthens the Directive of the European Parliament and the Council, on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence (CSDD), as put forward by the European Commission in 2022. This text sets out a position juxtaposing the European Council’s December 2022 watered down version in an attempt to influence the ultimate compromise that is being hoped for by the end of this year.
