France: Decathlon’s onboarding platform geared to optimising the integration of dual work-study participants

French sporting goods company Decathlon has called on the Heyteam onboarding platform to harmonise the integration of its work-study students, the number of whom has more than doubled in three years. The online tool is also expected to facilitate administrative procedures and establish an ‘intake’ atmosphere.

Following its 2022 intake of 1,380 work-study students, Decathlon is aiming to recruit another 1,500 in France in 2023. The numbers have been rising markedly and all the more so when compared to before the Covid-19 pandemic when they numbered just 600. “Our youth policy reflects a commitment to society, especially in difficult times,” affirms Kamel Medjabra, Decathlon head of employer branding and educational relations. The company also wants to create a ‘sustainable talent pool’ amid a shortage of candidates and sales growth numbers that in spite of inflation reached 12% in France in 2022.…
