Vodafone looks to pamper their mothers (employees) around the globe

Vodafone, the British telecommunications giant  that employs around 93,000 staff is going to implement a  new maternity leave policy that will apply across their global operations (Global Maternity Policy). The policy aims to offer all  mothers  16 weeks of 100% paid maternity leave and also to enable mothers, returning from maternity leave, to work 30 hours a week for 6 months,  also on full salary. Vodafone is trying to dissuade  mothers leaving  after their babies are born because their replacement costs  are well in excess of the costs of these new measures.

Before the end of 2015 all female Vodafone employees will have access to  at least 16 weeks maternity leave on full pay. The policy will apply around the globe across the groups  30 subsidiaries located in places such as Africa, the Middle-East, the Asia Pacific, Europe  and the U.S.A. The policy also allows mothers following their return from maternity leave  to work only 30 hours per week for a period of 6 months and this too will be on full pay.…
