Fiat: unions demand an international framework agreement

Italian metalworkers’ unions – Fim-Cisl, Fiom-CGIL and Uilm -, the International Metalworkers’ Federation (IMF) and the union representatives of Fiat’s Italian, Polish, Serbian, Turkish and Brazilian plants met in Turin on September 5, 2008 to ask the Italian car manufacturer (185.227 employees worldwide, 123.678 in Europe, 77.649 in Italy) to sign an international framework agreement ensuring in all the group’s plants the respect of the employees’ fundamental rights.
