Italy: creation of Confindustria Digitale, the new employers’ federation in the digital industry

Confindustria Digitale is the result of the merger between the four biggest employers’ organizations in the digital sector: Assotelecomunicazioni-Asstel, which represents telecom businesses, Assinform, the association of information technologies, Anitec, which represents technology, computing service, telecom and electrical consumption producers and AIIP, the Italian association of internet suppliers.  They represent businesses accounting for over 250,000 employees and sales of more than €70bn, and plan to appeal to other businesses in the sector in the coming months.
