Italy: Fiat launches the industrial program for its Pomigliano d’Arco site

After two weeks of “suspense,” on Friday, July 9^th, Fiat officially launched its restructuring program, “Fabbrica Italia.” During a meeting with the leaders of the Fim-Cisl, Uilm-Uil, Fismic and UGL, who signed the separate agreement on June 15^th (see our dispatch No. 100480), as well as the leaders of the Cisl and Uil, Raffaele Bonnani and Luigi Angeletti, Fiat confirmed the investment of €700 million to move the production of the Panda from Poland to Pomigliano. They all committed to facilitate the application of the separate agreement approved by 62% of workers at the referendum of June 22^nd (see our dispatch No. 100510).
