The agreement will see some 60 members of Monoprix’s checkout staff training, from this year, in the profession of care assistant with a view to ultimately joining Korian, which operates retirement homes in France. The effort will receive funding from the French state, which will cover part of the wage and training costs, via its 'Transitions Collectives' (collective transitions) scheme.
