France: MGEN strengthens its ambitions for professional equality with a new agreement

On 29 September MGEN (Mutuelle Générale de l'Education Nationale), France's leading mutual health insurance company and healthcare services provider with almost 10,000 employees, announced it had concluded an agreement on gender-based professional equality. The agreement details concrete actions that MGEN is going to launch following research carried out by the group at the end of 2020, which although indicating relatively small gender pay gaps for equivalent positions, did however show an under-representation of females in management positions. The text was unanimously signed by the trade unions (CFDT, CFE-CGC, CGT and UNSA).
