Italy: the new collective agreement for the gas and water sector defends purchasing power and promotes diversity

Included as key features in the gas and water sector’s national collective agreement (NCA) that the relevant social partners signed on 30 September is an overall €220 wage increase over three years as well as progress on employee participation in company decisions and on diversity and inclusion. This NCA first requires approval by the relevant workers’ assemblies and then it will run retroactively from 01 January 2022 to 31 December 2024, covering some 47,000 workers in almost 400 companies.
