France: Solvay signs an agreement on recognizing experience acquired during union and worker representation mandates

The agreement that was unanimously signed is an example, of which there are still only a few, of the implementation of the Law on social dialogue (17 August 2015 c.f. article No. 9208) that recognizes competences acquired during staff representation mandates.

A commitment to negotiate on the issue had been made in the agreement dated 31 May 2016 on social dialogue (c.f. article No. 9696) and which had set out the broad thrusts of social dialogue. This new agreement goes into greater detail on arrangements to recognize competences that have been acquired during the course of employee representation mandates and that by including trade union experience in a representative’s professional career path the employability of the representative is explicitly taken into account.…
