Spain: agreement in principle on Renault Spain’s new collective agreement

Management at Renault Spain together with the UGT, CCOO and SCP trade unions have reached a preliminary agreement on the content of the company's collective agreement for the period 2021-2024. This agreement covers all Renault’s Spanish facilities (14,000 employees) and provides for a two-year freeze on salaries. In return, however, management has undertaken to hire 1,000 new employees and to ensure the industrial future of the sites, with the production of new hybrid and electric models. The unions will in the upcoming days submit the text for a vote by their respective members, before proceeding to the signature stage.
