Unilever Italy: unions sign “Industry 4.0” agreement promoting workers’ life-long learning so as to safeguard employability in light of ongoing technological transformation processes.

On Friday 13 September, an agreement on Industry 4.0 was signed between the Italian branch of the multinational group Unilever and the three sectoral unions FLAI-CGIL, FAI-CISL and UILA-UIL. The agreement seeks to develop a pro-active approach in terms of transformation processes by working closely with social partners and local businesses in focusing on employability and by supporting workers via personalized life-long training and occupational reclassification opportunities.
