Austria: Labor law is amended to restrict competitive clauses and reimbursement of the cost of occupational training

New provisions aim at protecting workers terminating their job contract. (Ref. 06161)

According to the new provision (§ 36 Angestelltengesetz) a competitive clause, that is to bind an employee after the termination of his/her contract, cannot be settled, if the employee´s salary does not exceed € 1800  per month.…
