Is the creation of the European Globalization Adjustment Fund a good thing?

It is rather good news. This initiative takes note of the reality of reorganizations, which quite simply means that governments cannot just “let things happen”,  because the economic and social cost of globalization is much higher than its beneficial effects. The European Commission is going beyond the existing directives and is
making a step towards a direct regulating intervention, with a will to direct the action towards active measures. Another positive point: Member States finally accepted that an aspect of the social field be treated at the supranational level, whereas they refuse any extension of the Union’s competences on the matter.…
