On the evening of 11 March the EU Parliament, EU Council and European Commission came to a preliminary agreement on the EU’s first regulation addressing the issue. The goal of the document is to better protect whistleblowers who report on illegal activities as well as those that run counter to EU legislation goals and purposes.
