Great Britain : stressed out executives who do not take their holidays

The « workaholism » of its executives is a good financial deal for great Britain. According to a survey of the Chartered Management Institute, British executives give up 19 million days off per year, a gift to their employer assessed to 3.5 billion pounds (5.1 billion euros). (Ref 06614)

Out of the 553 executives who have been questionned, 63% do not take all the holidays to which they have a right. Almost half of them give up up to two weeks per year. But the half of them however acknowledges that these days off allow them to « recharge batteries » and nearly three quarter of them think this is a good way to manage the stress due to work.…
