Lithuania: 17% of the working population is getting shadow wages

In Lithuania more then 17% of working population admits earning part of their wage “in envelopes”. According to the trade unions, the lack of unionist in the companies partly explains this situation. (Ref. 06351)

Shadow wages are more often being paid to people of the youngest and the oldest age, also less educated employees and those working in the countryside.…
