Argentina: government raises the minimum salary level

Despite failed discussions on 30 August with the trade unions as part of the Salary Council to reach a consensus, on 02 September Argentina’s Official Bulletin published a 35% increase in the country’s minimum monthly salary. The 35% increase now sets Argentina’s minimum monthly income at ARS 16,875 (€264) up from ARS 12,500 (€195) previously.

The salary increase will occur in several stages, first rising to ARS 15,625 in September and then a month later to ARS 16,875 in October.…
