Industriall Global and IndustriAll Europe condemn the criminalisation of union activity in Turkey. In a statement published on 14 November, IndustriALL Global Union and IndustriALL Europe condemned the sentencing of 26 Renault workers and trade union officials from the car manufacturer’s Oyak plant in Bursa, Turkey. The two organisations write in a joint statement that the 26 workers were sentenced to five months in prison suspended for five years, having been found guilty of “disobeying the law on meetings and demonstrations”.
