Portugal: business support programme seeks to promote economic recovery after Covid-19

At the end of July, the Portuguese government adopted an economic activity support scheme aimed at encouraging companies to gradually resume their activity or production after having benefited from the special short-time working scheme introduced in response to Covid-19. The idea is also to enable workers to gradually return to the wage levels they enjoyed before the pandemic. The new mechanism is in force until December 2020.
