Spain: commentary of the law reforming the labor market adopted on June 28

The Law 3/2012 introduces quite a number of small amendments compared with the decree adopted in February (for the detailed commentary of the text, see our dispatch No.  120125), most of them of a technical nature, but the truly significant innovations of the Law 3/2012 are very few. The following are the main new contents:

majority have kept to their promise and the Law has not reversed any of the key innovations of the Decree Law. Indeed, in spite of strong opposition by unions (including a general strike in March), it may be said that the Law 3/2012 has gone even further in the direction of greater labour flexibility.
